I absolutely love watching "How Clean Is Your House." There's something oddly pleasing and therapeutic in watching two British ladies scold people for having messy homes. I guess it's because I know that no matter how messy my apartment may look at times, it's not as bad as the houses on the show.

I needed a morale boost so I did a self portrait of sorts. GIRL POWA!!! Mind you, it doesn't look very much like me, but at least I tried to include my round nose.

This was my priest Tarantella (a.k.a. HEALPLZ). The cool thing about being a healer is... everyone needs healing. So you're almost like a household appliance. Or deodorant. You don't really think about it until you really need it. And if you don't have it nearby you freak out and break out into a sweat. Buh-dun-DUN!

My Backpack's Got Jets!

I missed a day yesterday! Oh, well. I decided I'd rather get more sleep rather than stress about it. A good decision, if I do say so myself. In any case, here's the finished shaded version of the colored drawing. I probably won't add a background. Sadly, they're not my thing. Mostly because I stink at them. The original drawing is a lot bigger and more detailed. A lot of that was lost with the shrinkage. Mehhh... probably a good thing.

Not quite done yet, but at least the base colors are down. I'm not great at coloring/shading, so we'll see what tomorrow's version will look like.

The Impossible Duel

So Grant had a dream the other night. A Star Wars-related dream. While this in itself is not unusual, part of it involved a lightsaber duel between two VERY unlikely characters. There are two reasons why this duel would never occur. Reason number one being that Boba Fett and Padme Amidala are not Jedi. Reason number two being that, well... by the time Boba is old enough to become a bounty hunter Padme has been long since dead. Still a cool dream though. I may color it sometime.

I'm in the process of drawing a more involved sketch, so it won't be posted today as it is not finished. Instead, here's an older sketch with characters from X-Men Evolution.

Today I decided to color yesterday's lines on the computer. I also cleaned up the edges of the picture since the scanner darkened them a little.

Cloud person!!!

Back by popular demand, the dude with the spiky hair and the big sword! Cloud is the protagonist of the legendary video game, Final Fantasy VII. It's been years since I drew him! Used references for the pose and outfit.

So we've been watching a lot of Jane Austen movies lately. Like, A LOT. And no, I don't *make* Grant watch them with me; he is a willing participant. He's the romantic sort. So today's sketch celebrates mushy love stories.
